Volunteer for a Better Sandy Springs (VBSS), our signature community event for the past 20 years will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022, the day after Earth Day, along with our community-wide recycling fundraiser, LSS Recycles. Sign up for one of our sites: recycling, schools, parks and community nonprofits, and/or drive up and drop off recyclables at City Springs South Parking Lot from 9am -12noon. See recycling info below.
We’ll be working at these schools, parks and community nonprofits:
North Springs and Riverwood High Schools; Sandy Springs Middle School; High Point, Lake Forest and Woodland Elementary Schools; Abernathy Greenway, Big Trees, Island Ford, Lost Corner, Overland Park, the Community Assistance Center and Solidarity Sandy Springs. Sign up to select your site and join us!
We want what you don’t!
We’re collecting old electronics, paint, youth sports equipment and medical devices. Pay onsite for electronics ($20/carload, see flyer at left for special large item charges) and paint. Sports equipment and medical supplies are free. Thanks – you’ll be helping LSS, our community and our planet!
Atlanta Paint Disposal
$5/gallon; $2/quart, pint or spray can & we’ll get it out of your car!
SS Youth Sports
SSYS gives sports equipment to kids who need it. Everyone wins!
