Class members for the 9-month program are chosen based on criteria relating to prior leadership and service in the community, potential to contribute to the future of Sandy Springs, diversity, and desire to be involved. Nominations are accepted from community organizations, businesses, and alumni. Interested individuals may also self-nominate. Classes are intentionally kept small with 36 participants to encourage relationship building and facilitate hands-on involvement in activities and projects.
Leadership Sandy Springs has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. Foremost, it’s been exciting to get to know so many successful and influential people, and I emerged from the program much more knowledgeable about our community and more confident in my ability to work well with others.
- Ken Dishman, City of Sandy Springs City Councilman
